Brothers

• "Brothers" is a poem about how your friends in the ghetto are the most important thing you have."My Boys are my brothers"meaning that there like your own family."They dont bounce when the bullets fly", signifying that they stand next to you till the very end.And probably the most important metaphor in the whole poem"A homey who gives his life for another"meaning that you and your friends will be willing to give eachothers lives for each other."Brothers"symbolizes friendship and its importance,it demonstrates that having friends in the so called "Ghetto" is the most important thing you can have in this hard life.

• "My Answered Prayers" is a poem about a struggling person and his desperateness for a better life.It shows how his life is already played out,and all he has to do is live through it.It talks about how He/She is forced to tackle some of life's hardest obstacles."God knows i really dont want to slay these people",shows that the person does not not want to kill,but sometimes is forced to."The love of money is the root of all evil"demonstrates that the want for money is the cause of all negative things in life."Im praying once to god,please let everything  be fine"the person just wants to live another day hoping for the best in this hard life.
